Whistleblowing

Our commitment

Society for Family Health is committed to the principles of honesty, integrity, and accountability in all its dealings. We have partnered with KPMG Ethics Lineto provide an independent whistleblowing facility for all employees, partners, and stakeholders to report any unethical behaviour — anonymously and confidentially.

The Ethics Line is operated by KPMG, an independent third party. Reports do not pass through SFH staff or systems. You can choose to identify yourself or remain anonymous; either way, your information is handled in confidence and only the details necessary to investigate a report are shared with the SFH Audit & Risk function.

What to report

Any conduct that breaches SFH’s code of ethics or relevant laws should be reported. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Fraud, theft, or misappropriation of funds or assets
  • Bribery, kickbacks, or corruption
  • Conflicts of interest that have not been disclosed
  • Procurement irregularities or vendor collusion
  • Sexual exploitation, abuse, or harassment (SEAH)
  • Discrimination, bullying, or workplace harassment
  • Falsification of records, data, or reports
  • Breaches of safeguarding policy or donor compliance
  • Any other serious breach of SFH’s code of conduct

What happens next

KPMG records every report and forwards it to SFH’s Audit & Risk function for independent review. Substantiated reports are investigated and acted on; where appropriate, matters are escalated to the Board of Trustees.

SFH does not tolerate retaliation against anyone who raises a concern in good faith — whether or not the concern is ultimately substantiated.

Don’t support it. Report it.
